In October 2017 Bruce Springsteen opened his residency at the Walter Kerr Theatre, 219 West 48th Street, New York City. Titled Springsteen On Broadway, the show was formatted as a solo performance by The Boss, in which he related his musical and personal history, interspersing musical performances on guitar and piano with spoken word anecdotes and reflections on his life and work. Springsteen On Broadway was part of a general theme of reflection in Springsteen s work during the second decade of the millennium.
