Description

Diamond Braid Polypropylene is an inexpensive, general purpose rope. It has a low stretch, good knot retention and is resistant to oils, rot, mildew and most chemicals. Polypropylene is a light weight rope that floats, making it popular for pool and water sports. Polypropylene is affected by sunlight deterioration more than any rope contained in our line, but the life can be extended by storing the rope away from sunlight. Polypropylene begins to degrade and melt at 150-degrees Fahrenheit which is the lowest melting point of all synthetic rope. It is not as strong as nylon or polyester, but two to three times stronger than manila. Because of its economical price, it is the most popular all-purpose rope for the average consumer.
