Description

The Xavier Institute for Higher Learning, formerly Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, is the name of a fictional school appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The Xavier Institute is a school for mutant teenagers, and sometimes older aged mutants and is located in the X-Mansion. The mansion is depicted as the private estate of Professor X, a character in X-Men comics. The X-Mansion is also the worldwide headquarters of the X-Corporation and the base of operations and training site of the X-Men.
