This Valterra 6601 gate valve has 6" female slip connection openings, white PVC (polyvinyl chloride) hubs for resistance to corrosion and mild chemicals, and an acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) body for dimensional stability and impact resistance. Its shaft, paddle, and handle are made of 304 stainless steel for resistance to corrosion, and its seals are made of thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) for dimensional stability and resistance to chemicals. Gate valves control flow in a piping system by lifting a gate out of the path of steam, fluids, or gases.
